About this place...

Welcome to my small corner of the internet. I’ve slapped this together as a place for me to showcase games I find interesting that others may want to check out themselves. My tastes are a fair ways off in left field a lot of the time, so talking to random people about the ones I like is often greeted with blank stares. That’s fine, I’ll just post about them here. Maybe people will find my writing and this place could prove useful at some point, or maybe I’m posting into the void. Even if it’s the latter, I can live with that as I find writing helps me articulate my thoughts and it can be quite an enjoyable pastime.

I lean quite a bit toward indie games of late so there will be a big focus on that area. I don’t necessarily go out of my way to focus on new releases, instead having more of a “Well, it’s new to me!” attitude. A lot of people get caught up in the zeitgeist of the moment and a lot of good games pass them by. As such, this is more of a heavily curated library of games I know I found interesting and thought that maybe others might as well.

As you can probably tell from being here for more than a few seconds, I don’t like modern web design. I think it’s boring and soul destroying. As far as I’m concerned ‘mobile-first’ basically ruined the web, and now AI slop is finishing the job. So here’s my little sanctuary away from that where we have banners from the 00s, a simple laying that would never work on a phone, and no intention of making this site work on a phone, ever. Besides, I'm focusing on games for the personal computer (console stuff here is more a product of coincidental multiplatforming), so there's a decent chance people who come here will have one of those with a browser capable of viewing the site.

If you want to poke your head in here every once in a while to see what I’ve posted by all means help yourself. There’s no schedule for when new stuff goes out as that’s a surefire recipe for turning a website once filled with passion into a cynical content mill that will stop updating at any moment. If I’m feeling inspired I’ll post frequently. If I’m tired and otherwise distracted, then I’ll focus on other stuff and updates here will drop for a while.
